

Tyson Rallens
Tyson (Ty) Rallens is the Director for Classical Leadership Programs and Partnerships at the Templeton Honors College. He also serves as Director of the new MBA concentration in Classical Education. Before joining Eastern in January 2025, Ty lived in Oxford, England for ten years while working on three graduate degrees and directing the C.S. Lewis Study Centre at The Kilns, C.S. Lewis's historic home.
He holds a B.S. in Computer Engineering from the University of Idaho and a B.A. in Liberal Arts and Culture from New Saint Andrews College, which he earned simultaneously; he also gained an MSt in Literature and Arts and an Executive M.B.A. from the University of Oxford. He is currently finishing a DPhil in Management at the University of Oxford's Saïd Business School, where he is a Clarendon Scholar.
Before his academic career, he spent fifteen years at Hewlett Packard Enterprise in engineering, management, and business operations while also moonlighting as a rhetoric teacher and mock trial coach at The Ambrose School in Boise, ID. Tyson has led tours for thousands of visitors to The Kilns and has taught the fundamentals of crew rowing to hundreds of Merton College freshers.
Tyson is the Vice President of the Association of Classical Christian Schools (ACCS) and sits on the executive council of Concordis Education Partners, an ACCS company.
He and his wife, Christine, live in Wayne, Pennsylvania.
