During their junior or senior year, the majority of Templeton students complete a semester of study at approved universities and programs around the globe, taking courses both within and outside their major areas of focus.
Although not required, the semester away is seen as an integral part of our overall curriculum. Immersion in a foreign context helps students develop humility and grace, gain perspective, and consider different points of view. The experience helps students to empathize with ‘strangers’ at home, and to deepen their commitment to justice in a global context.
Available Programs
Some of the programs students have recently attended include: Argentina, Australia, China, Costa Rica, Denmark, England, India, Italy, Israel, Jordan, Lithuania, New Zealand, Rwanda, Scotland, Spain, and Uganda.
Is there any financial aid available for these trips?
Students are able, in almost all cases, to use their Eastern financial aid for their semesters overseas.
