A new school year means a new Student Council! This year’s team is full of energy, ideas, and a love for the Templeton community. They’ll be working hard (and joyfully!) to make this year one of celebration, connection, and growth. Take a moment to meet your council members:
Russell Howard
Meet Russell! He’s a sophomore History major who loves front porches, pine trees, oolong tea, and Wendell Berry (with a healthy dose of Tolkien, too). Russell promises to be a “just and benevolent chair” and bring merriment to Templeton life. According to him, this will be a year unlike any in Templeton history—so get ready!
Jonah Trubey
Say hi to Jonah, a sophomore math major from Lancaster, PA! When he’s not wrestling with the Great Books or having lively theological conversations, you can probably find him writing poetry, gardening, or enjoying music. Jonah is excited to add a little whimsy and fun to your Templeton experience this year.
Holly Hollenbach
Holly is a sophomore majoring in Global Studies and Service, hailing from Amish country in central PA. She loves line dancing, traveling, and spending time outdoors. Holly is looking forward to helping the community grow together in all things good, beautiful, true, and holy!
Bryson Chollar
Bryson is our senior voice on council! A Math major on the path toward aerospace engineering, he was homeschooled and grew up loving the liberal arts, especially philosophy. Bryson’s always up for a good conversation—though you may also find him playing table tennis, ultimate frisbee, or chess.
Noelle McWhirter
Noelle is a sophomore from southern New Hampshire majoring in mathematics on the pre-engineering track. She loves astronomy, cooking, and writing poetry, but most of all she’s excited for late-night Templeton conversations that stretch long past class. Noelle is grateful for the chance to give back to the community and build friendships with students and faculty alike.
With this group leading the way, the year ahead promises to be thoughtful, lively, and full of reasons to celebrate. Be sure to say hi when you see them around Templeton—they can’t wait to serve and get to know you!
