Many Christians have used Icons to help direct them to God in worship. Many have called Icons "Windows to heaven." They are not so much to be looked at as looked through—beyond and toward the Divine. They can be especially comforting in times of sorrow and strife. East Meets West is an exhibit of Icons that were "written" by Ukrainian women. They remind us of the Divine even in the time of war.
Dr. Cox and Dr. Smith will lead us through a spiritual exercise called Visio Divina. You will be able to interact with the Icons in a meditative way. Whether you have a lot of experience with Icons or next to none, this Forum event will inspire.
