Application for MAT in Classical Education
STEP 1:
Complete Eastern University’s online graduate application. Make sure to specify “MA in Teaching, Concentration in Classical Education” as the Academic Program from the drop-down menu.
STEP 2:
Write your Statement of Purpose, explaining why you would like to pursue your Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) in Classical Education at the Templeton Honors College (approximately 500 words).
Upload your completed Statement of Purpose.
STEP 3:
Request official transcripts from the college or university from which you received your bachelor's degree. Only one official transcript demonstrating the conferral of a Bachelor's degree is needed for your application.

Non-Degree Student Application (if you are considering taking fewer than four classes):
STEP 1:
Complete Eastern University’s online graduate application. Specify “Non-Degree Graduate” as the Academic Program from the drop-down menu.
STEP 2:
Request official transcripts from the college or university from which you received your bachelor's degree. Only one official transcript demonstrating the conferral of a Bachelor's degree is needed for your application.
